    GC2 Action .

Well Looks Like Mr spare shutz is on it's way shortly ? if so the old GC2 can go off for service to SCR . only snag is i don't have a really good scope to go on it . so it looks like my old Custom shop is gonna get pressed into action . back to the future type thing . i can use em . but if more that two solid hours looking through em . they do give me a head ache . so set it up and just do 40 targets . stop . looking forward to it . ??? Springfield today...

You have not tried any real distance yet Col . my simple aim is twelve miles flat out . with plenty of hills . ??? HOLLY

    Desperation ?

One thing i know Jon . we are all looking for the edge . doubt if it will be these , but if you don't suck it , you don't know what it tastes like . i personally like to try new things . i will be able to tell you within 50 pellets . grandad runs em at 740 , cos that is what came up on the chrono without changing the power from his 8.4 pellets . i think he said that was 11.4 foot pounds . ??? Far Coly ?

It is what it is Jon . who will knock jack off his throne next year ? will it be a young gun or an old gun . there is always some one better out there ??? HOLLY

    Far Coly ?

Going back to when FT was worth shooting assuming you were towards the top in your region it would take at least 14 GP's to get in to the rhythm. Certainly the middle section was sheltered am, what was coming through was behind you, one edge or the other and what its become pot luck. PM would have had it harder usually the case, by 2.30pm the wind was changing direction diagonally on car park to almost right angles by 5pm, that would have moved the pellets and proper skill needed.

    Desperation ?

Theyre all the same whatever the label just a different die. Very good when tried initially 2009 but over 35 yards forget it in a breeze, became unpredictable.

    Springfield today...

I wouldn’t want to put him in his box too early...🤣
  9. Eaton Rifles

    Desperation ?

They look exactly the same as the Exact Expresses but a tad lighter. I wonder if they lose that weight by shedding length or material inside the skirt? Either way I don't think running them at 840fps is the way to go to be honest.

    Desperation ?

Same thing but in a red tin . EG , not carefully selected ??? HOLLY PS Grandad Swears that they go very well out of his 800X ? her also says at Spring . he waited to shoot till the wind was up . he reckons that at 55 yards in a wind . he was aiming . one inch off . we will see . he is buying more . he is not a man to throw his dosh about .

    Desperation ?

They need a light sizing before they really perform in my experience. What on earth are Exact RS, these kiddies?
  12. holly

    Desperation ?

In Desperation i last bought a tin of 7.87 exact express . good but not startling . now Grandad has by mistake bought a tin of exact RS in 7.33 . which he swears are the bees knees . well he better be right cos on his word i have invested a few quid in a tin .running in his rifle at 840 fps . he reckons the windage is very good and so is the accuracy . i don't have much faith in this . but hey ho and off we go . ??? HOLLY PS will let you know .

    Springfield today...

At last! Didn't take the Holdsworth on our hols as bikes and caravans don't mix, but I did have a good ride on the old girl before we went and it felt great to be back on two wheels again.

    Far Coly ?

Will Dan the man stay with em ? HOLLY
  20. holly

    Springfield today...

Will buy you a burger to shut you up col . so did you and the holdsworth survive the ride ? or did you really go ??? HOLLY
  21. Eaton Rifles

    Springfield today...

Nothing to do with rifle or pellets and they're not that bad, you still owe me a burger remember...
  22. SteveC200

    Far Coly ?

I guess that could be compensated for by high mounting the scope to flatten the trajectory at longer ranges?

    Far Coly ?

Steve what i was saying is the shooters withing the M25 , quite often don't travel outside to shoot . so when they do . the shooting can come harder . a lack of country wide shoots . tells against em . withing their region they will be a contender . outside , an all so ran . the more you do , the better you get . ??? HOLLY PS keep at it nat's . you will get there .

    Far Coly ?

The heavies are a good pellet but they leave no room for error when it comes to range finding. Also watch the power,my gun gained a full ft1b putting it over the limit.

    Far Coly ?

That's why I'm doing it now holly.. learning comps, more experience. Sucking up the rough. Taking some positives if I can. Did 4 GPs. 2 I was happy with, 1 meh and 1 -covered in gore- awful. Used 8.4s not sure if I should try some heavies. Used to shoot bisley mags many many moons ago...
  27. Matt

    Far Coly ?

I had a very bad start, with Paul's zenith 9015, missed I think six in first ten? Every lane we'd come off the other two would say they gave straight or edge of kill and I was like it shifted loads. Adjusted the windage and started to hit a few but it was way too late as every so often I'd have a shot go straight on me. Missed two faceplates with shots going under crosshairs. Anyway finished 13 down so an awful result but I managed to pick my jh9015 up off Jon and also try my factory 9015 in its new woodwork, so at least some possitives. Matt
