    Anschutz roll of honour

First ones i saw were the Welham in 1998 and suffered velocity and zero shift. Had the ugly steel cylinders. 99 there was a team hence 3 guns above mentioned.

    Wooden stocks or metal?

Theyre all like it bedding my Anchutz in 2005, Fen 2014 plus Walthers since 1998. External stock makers are just copying the disasters for an easy life rather than correcting or making right, none worse than the Ones. Had to put James Woodheads right before he won the Worlds 2009.

    Wooden stocks or metal?

I would agree with almost every word there Rob. Problem is the designers with lack of knowledge and or unwillingness to design and build what the customer wants just taking the easy route. Big difference to looking nice to feeling right, all judge stock on looks not performance of which there can be monstrous disasters. Biggest is the lack of bedding in by the Germans, only one way to do it, do it right or not at all.

    Anschutz roll of honour

J Briscoe has hung on to 3 team rifles as they cant be sold, been doing clays for over a decade and good at it. Only Regional wins for me MFTA Masters 2009, numerous W/L and 2008 GP A Series.

    Anschutz roll of honour

Confirm James did win a World title in 2009 South Africa using an old Anchutz 2002 in a Gray Cane stock i had to sort out prior. He won it running 740 ft/sec 8.4 Think it was Poland 2004 Dan won the Worlds again with a 2002. No other World titles have been won using Anchutz, hft is just a name like our European Champs an open.

    Wind and Deep woods ?

Shot for Midlands first time the Regionals and Champs were held at Newbury 95 8th rings a bell, my score counted that enough! I got complacent in 2011 1 down by lane 19.

    Wind and Deep woods ?

Remember Stu telling me he partnered one and said i guarantee i can group off the knee sub 1/4" at 55 yards, they looked at each other. He did it, there you go. The other was we shoot to get the ranges to dial to, couldnt comprehend. Too many useless gizmos, learn the ropes get on with it.

    Progress ?

That i would have to agree with Holls. The only times i ever had trouble was looking in to dense underr growth from afar in a field with the sun behind after it rained on the lenses with 1/8" DOT. Thats near on the size of a Leup Comp DOT.

I'll say it again Poking and Hoping aint FT and whats its become ruling skill out.

    New Falcon FT scope

Theyre hard to please non of the usual it seems to work thats good enough to find out later its problematic, will need testing and feedback.

    FWB 800 X ?

Like everything its German has to be put right. Far better rifle over all why do you think i got rid of my Anchutz over 4 years ago.

    Air Chrony

Just one session, one rifle and same light means nothing. R3 proven to be incorrect by many used out doors.

    GP3....

Pussies Its FT not what its become poke and hope one edge or the other to be decioded on standers and kneelers. Cant be that bad if a 41 won it, same as 2014 when there were apparently mechanical failures to avoid handing their cards in. Thought they had a new wood to shoot in, piccies seen looks like first part of the course 4 years ago, gets a lot worse up the top 3 times the wind drift.

Pellet weight and the black arts...

A good slug you wont need to size or weigh, just use straight from tin.

Pellet weight and the black arts...

Its down to the batch nothing more. Call em what you like AA, JSB, Cometa and so on theyre all the same just the die is different. Imported 2 batches of Express in 2009 luckilly a relatively windy day. One batch grouped tremendous but anything above a breeze (wind to you lot) became unpredictable. At 55 yards drift was 4 to 5" + height diference = 2" groups. Other batch didnt group well (flat in the skirts Rob) about 1/2" at only 30 yards but were very very predictable and took way less wind drift at 55 yards like 3/4" movement grouped within 1/2". Much the same with Exact and testing that Labrador last year pre Worlds the BC of JSB made Exacts/AA etc was vast. Good BC pellet at 30 yards drops 30-50 ft/sec yet world shooters were using some that dropped as much as 160 ft/sec at only 30 yards.

    Air Chrony

CED manual is for centrefire. 7" is the absolute minimum to eradicate the errors in general, though dependant on external light entering indoors will affect the out come IR. If in doubt i wait till its pitch black and try then with no lights, if gives same readings its correct. R2A i have to switch an extra set of lights on to bring it up 20ft/sec to match the CED M2 IR. Caldwell and Skans just wouldnt register at any cost unless 3 feet back. Best of the lot them Combros fire at one angle and see a correct ish 780ft/sec, change angle literally 10 degrees and see as much as 130 ft/sec read low but common to see 70 ft/sec low when rifles not. AirChrony thats the ones that ripped off LMBR, the ones they sold they offer no support or guarantee, yet BFTA support them.

    Target Colours

Done that a few times Kev. Cant get away with it now with all the rule abiders and SS. Always gone off the face plates works every time, theres always some over spray or something that pops out guarantee within a yard all year round. Do prefer the G clamp acme thread 1st choice.

    Air Chrony

Have an LMBR R2A as well but certainly dont trust it, in fact i trust it more than an Air Chrony R3 i have never ever in 2years had a correct reading any where. Sunday i was geared up for it chrono at a bonide RFD 8.45am said 780-782. Did say to partners whats the chances this thing will give me 758 or 762, i was right 757.8. Point being because BFTA in denial a shooter thinks rifles down on power, it aint its the friggin chrono used in uncontrolled conditions. So and have seen this done dozens of times a shooter chronos at a shoot the course chrono and sees a 'reported' power drop then ups the power. Take above actual 782 and see it register 24 ft/sec slower up power if can to a reported 782 which in reality is an actual 806. First time ive seen this on a chrono start a newer Skan up and it tells you to fire from at least 10" back but told closer and closer muzzle up to chrono - idiots.
