Chester Field Target Club

Recommended Posts

Guest Nev

Another well managed club here in the north west within reach of Merseyside and North Wales. See the Web sight atCTFC.

New Members welcome as are first timers.

This club is ideal for those who want to just plink, hone hunting skills or get started in FT. The club is run as imformally as possible without compromising safety.

A good guide on scope lapping can be found on the website.

Nev :)

You won't get a reply from Nev as the left hand side of the post says he's a "Guest". That means the username is no longer registered on here. Also, the post was made in 2002.

Hope you find help elsewhere.

Tom, keep me updated, I'm VERY interested in joining a local club. I've also heard of a club in trelawnyd, just waiting on a mate getting back to me with a number.

Regardles of what you say if you've not got a problem with the equipment it must be the pellets.

How did you determine that the Bisley's were the pellet to use, what else did you try ?

So you haven't tried different pellets in that gun.

Even the same model gun can perform better with different pellets. The only way is for you to try different pellets in that gun, to determine which are the most accurate. You don't even need to zero, just use the same aimpoint. When you find the pellet that groups the best, use it.

Once you've established the right pellet, re-zero your gun at your preferred distance.

haveing shot AGS...Prometheus..Dynamics...and and makeing my own for a few years i found Bisley magnun the bees knees for stopping power and putting rounds where i want them time and time again..them i went for bisley vermin and found them to be better at knocking down at 25 yards.. anything longer would be silly for me to try as my eyes are not as good as they where.. and need the pellet to do the job...

copyed from another room i have been into..

The pellet that will "do the job" is the most accurate one.

But each to their own. If you think that the Bisley pellets are the ones, regardless of not being able to zero your scope I'll butt out.
