Gamo trigger adjustment

Recommended Posts

Guest Old Shakey

I recently bought a Gamo Recon. It has a trigger adjustment, but I don't want to mess with it until I understand what it does. According to the instructions, it makes the trigger "longer" or "shorter". If it is really exactly what it says, what good is that adjustment? I could see making the trigger pull length longer or shorter, but not the trigger itself.

Yes, it merely adjusts the length of pull before firing; it's a one-stage trigger.

Especially as you're in the USA, best places to look up re Gamo modifications or adjustments are

this forum.........

this website.......

and this website .... (but do not mention it on the forum above, you'll soon figure why!)

http://charliedatuna.com/

Btw, if you look there you'll notice quite a few of the "478035" Gamo forumites

have become gas-ram (or as they call it, air-spring) conversion fans.

They've finally caught up with some of us in the UK! :qq:

Hi

Look at getting a GRT III trigger. I got one and it made a lot of differance to my Gamo 440.

I think i paid £20 ish ( exchange rate ) and it turned up in less than a week, Takes 5 minutes to fit.

Just had a look and there $34 delivered but buy direct from America not the EU website.

HTH

Alan

I also have a Gamo " Silent Cat " I have read many reviews on this gun and as with many Gamo rifles, the trigger has a lot to be desired. I desided to swap it out for a GRT111 trigger and let me tell you, it was like having a whole new gun. The trigger comes pre adjusted and takes 10 minutes to install. You can buy the trigger from " Charlie Datuna.com He is a professional airgun tuner. It cost $32 and is worth every penny. May be slightly higher shipping to the UK. It reduced triger pull by more than half and has just a little over one pound pull. You will love this trigger. I know I do.

Longer or shorter refers to the length of the first (and only) stage of the trigger and not the usual LOP measurement. The GRT3 trigger is THE mod for this gun. Night and day difference. RB
