The Course .

Recommended Posts

well almost time to bring in last years course and put out a new one for next year . the course does not stay the same , it evolves through the year . what works , what does not work . best bit for me is that the zero range goes back to where it was . on a fairly flat piece of ground , where the wind comes in from the left or behind .. gives you a much better idea of windage . on the old one which started flat and then goes uphill quite steeply . the windage at the top is very difficult to judge . hard work changing targets in our wood . as it is so swampy . with streams running through it . ??? HOLLY

PS Mr Buzzard has been at work in the wood as all that was left of a wood pidgeon was a few feathers .

No do not change it as it has taken you a year to learn this one . Not a back little wood on a sunny day.

No Keith , we don't want to end up like Mill ride . one course lasts forever . nope change is good for the shooting . sides on the down hill shots , well they take a lot more wind . makes you suspicious of every shot . as you should be . ??? HOLLY

Right we spent a good day moving the range targets from off the hill to another location . put a few shots down the range afterwards . might need a few adjustments but not bad as is . lost one of my boots in the swamp for a bit . got a soggy sock . but hey ho and away we go ??? HOLLY
