Remember this sport is based on hunting . most of the legal animals that are hunted with air rifles are black . i don't think parrots are legal to shoot ??? HOLLY

I think they are in parts of Suffolk/Norfolk where they are feral...🤔

Grey squirrels - grey (believe it or not)

Rabbits - grey/brown (sort of, anyway)

Rats - see 'rabbits' (similar colour, anyway)

Wood pigeons - blue grey

Feral pigeons - multi coloured

Rooks - black

Jackdaws - black & grey

Magpies - black & white

Crows - black

 

quick total up

Total quarry species 8, legal quarry that are black = 2, (predominantly black 3, possibly 4, depending on angle for the magpies), doesn't come to most of them Holly:)

No parrots in this part of the world, but I think on the South Coast there are Green Parakeets:awink:

Got them in London too. Used to make a right racket outside the yard I worked at in lea bridge rd.

Just remembered, forgot

Jays - similar colour to a wood pigeon (but if it wasn't for these, there would be far fewer oak trees around)
