      VCR Bill

Since the introduction of the "latest" VCR bill on 1st October 2007, sales of AIRGUNS (including replicas) AND MAJOR COMPONENTS (barrels, cylinders etc.) by DEALERS is restricted to a face-to-face transaction.   Please ensure you are familiar with the changes brought about due to the VCR act, which may be viewed on the BASC website.   BASC and ACPO have produced a guide to the VCR act in PDF format, which avoids legalese and is very understandable. See HERE.   AirGunForum members must ensure their transactions conform with current legislation before posting.   An inter-dealer network to facilitate the continuation of mail order business is being established by Portland Jon. Details are HERE or direct to his website HERE.

      Editing your posts

The forum's EDIT function has been changed. After making your post, you will have 30 minutes to review and edit it. After that, only Admin will be able to make edits.   Should a post NEED to be edited afterwards, email to admin@airgunforum.net the change details, the URL of the thread it applies to and if appropriate, the reason for the change. Don't forget to identify yourself and do use your registered email address to make contact. All this is necessary, as admin must be able to identify who you are and that it is your post that you wish to edit.   Admin. will make the edit if it appears necessary. Note, if you want to change something that could easily be achieved by adding a further post to the thread, you will be expected to do it.   Forum staff generally view new posts added to threads since their last visit. If a "for sale" item has been sold or a wanted item has been obtained, just add a post to the thread and it will usually be noted and the thread title will be edited appropriately. This saves members' time wading through posts that are effectively "dead".   DaveL

  12. Air Chrony

Now now Jon, don’t burst his perfectly formed bubble. I was genuinely surprised just how close the BFTA Air Chrony was to the LabRadar at GP2. Of course this one does have a dodgy pilot, but you never know if he sites it properly before he shoots it he might be ok...I still give it a week before he shoots out the front.
  13. So You Want A Gary Cane Bull Pup ?

The problem is not the lack of weight on the front, it is the excess useless weight hanging off the back. Let me (reluctantly) take it off your hands for a fiver and it’s problem solved. ...yes don’t thank me..?

  15. Follow through....

Hmmm, am I in a parallel universe where I strayed too close to a black hole and are now destined to play out the same scene, week in, week out, it’s just that I remember going through this exact same drivel in the lead up to Springfield and where was your best game there? Ah yea it fell out of your bag back home along with your Bob Hope record...?
  16. Target Colours

You mean you didn’t vote for them?
  17. Air Chrony

    I give it a week...?
  18. Air Chrony

Got myself a Air Chrony to replace the one grandad shot . needless to say he won't get a look at this one ??? HOLLY
  19. Target Colours

Finding the targets is part of the skill . adds to the pressure . at this rate lazer range finders will be allowed ??? HOLLY
  20. Target Colours

Totally the opposite Col with yellow its cammo in sun light undergrowth and foliage might as well paint green. Should be pulling the string to see where they are and follow it in. Hence why some people are beyond slow just standing there like lemmons.
  21. Target Colours

We still use black targets with white kills.
  22. Target Colours

When Carisbrooke do the Winter League we use alternate yellow and white faceplates on lanes or lane 1 both are yellow lane 2 both white etc. Yes it is more work but being able to set things during the year help. The lighter faceplate help target location especially for those new to sport. To many times I have been timed out because a black faceplate in shadow just dissappeared.
  23. Target Colours

I rather like yellow with black kills, stands out nicely and stops the old school confusion about where the hell the targets are....:D
  24. Target Colours

Still can just most choose not to Blame etl lol, everyone else in the region was black with white or yellow kills the etl found a big tin of yellow pint and a brush. The rest is history unfortunately
  25. Target Colours

Always liked black and easier to paint. Next best white with black kills but hardest to paint and use more of it. Not keen on yellow plates, tend to camo in sun light and greenery and be as bad as painting green.
  26. Target Colours

Myself i think it is time to go back to painting the targets Black again ., with a white or yellow kill . i cannot see the point in painting em yellow . finding , range finding and hitting the target is part of the skill . yellow targets dumb the sport down ??? HOLLY
