The next round of the Beechwood club league will be held on the 29th April, gates open 8.30 , safety briefing 9.45 for a 10 start. Club is open until 4 , there is also a 30 hft run to hft masters rules , a perfect opportunity for people to try both formats, £5 for a days shooting.

I've always taken my dogs with me shooting, have done for the past 13 years, got told today the dogs are now banned.
Ban my dogs you ban me , they were quite happy for me to have my dogs up there while I was doing all there work now it's finished there not welcome. I think there's been a bit of tit for tat as I complained about a committee member smoking weed at the club, he was -covered in gore- stoned !! Day after they ban the dogs knowing full well I would leave .

Currently looking into that, I've got a feeling there's going to be a vacancy in the area for a new club 🤔

Couldn't agree more mate, there was no way I was going to be part of a club that turned a blind eye, end result is I've left because of decision voted on by the stoned committee member I've complained about.

Very sorry to hear that mate, it would seem that your career in FT is littered with obstacles to overcome.

In the Big Bang world, if you turn up at a shoot drunk or drink alcohol during the shoot it's an instant ban and you're banished to your car. Argue it and it's a lifetime ban, any shooting Club whatever the discipline should be the same.

We'll just been told the wendover committee won't let visitors attend the club without prior approval, and there is to be no clearing of lanes without committee approval. That is one club I'm glad I'm no longer part of, but Beechwood isn't dead yet , watch this space 👍

Well, judging by past performance it's not good, they move a few into a club, show initial promise then move more in. Then when all the hard work is done they make their move and like a cuckoo toss everyone else out of the Club. That's why they'll never get in at ETL.

Especially now Choppers has no where to practice.

P.s do Barry and Dave need a new home as well.

I know I was just generalising, but one of the purposes of a strong Club Committee is to look objectively at said 'poisonous idiots' and effectively sort them out so that they don't destroy the Club. I suppose that's a little difficult if it's Committee members causing all the agg. in the first place.

Still I did love your post on FB about one of your dogs being a great judge of character by p*ssing up the leg of one of your detractors, almost as good as the one about another dog taking a dump next to another..... :rofl2:
