Forecast is still saying rain on Thursday..... b*gger.

Also, looks like it might be me and a Spanish chap shooting together, I was expecting groups of three. The bad news is that my mate Poppy is on the next lane, so it will be just like a SWEFTA shoot.. except in Wales... and with lots of people from other countries there... and 50 shots... so nothing like a SWEFTA shoot then.

I'm just delighted not to start shooting at 8.00am each morning, and when I told Poppy, who is NOT an early riser, I thought he was going to dance with delight.

Last practice sesh with the 9015 today... OK-ish, got all the standers and missed a kneeler that I shouldn't have.

Fingers crossed we don't get (too) wet on Thursday.

Sounds good Neil...

I'm Bazza's taxi unless he can cadge a lift from someone else at the Premier, so I'll be running him in at 7am.
Had a blitz round the Springfield course with Dave Hat as I wanted to revisit using a single-point sling. Decided in the end that I was just as steady without as with, but I'll still take to try for positional as it might have some merit on kneelers & standers.
Tried Leann's Alutech 9015 and it's a beauty, great like trigger and as accurate as mine, she'll do well with that for sure.
I think it won't be long before Andy gets one on the quiet and retires the Steyr...

Are you in the 'Moon Hotel' as well mate, my son's description not mine?
Yes looks like you're the only one with an ISP which is weird considering how many are about.
Should be a great few days and evenings!

Looks like Thursday is all day rain.

Yep basically wall to wall rain with 26mph gusts which if it happens on that open park land course will be interesting to say the least.

Of course weather forecasting is not an exact science and the bottom line is that it will be what it is on the day.

But it's a case of anticipating the absolute worst, i.e. solid rain with heavy gusts and praying it hits somewhere else....like the Rock

Hmmm, that sounds like a SWEFTA shoot at Shebbear, a course The Awesime HATES.

The phrase 'lottery shoot' comes to mind.

The knack (according to he who shall not be named on the Rock) is to weave the pellet through the least dense raindrops, aim a little higher and finally hope for the best.

Good advice if you ask me....

Oh yea of little faith Stan, Ozzy assured me Sunday that he's a roughly, toughty builder who lives for the rain and he's even thinking of packing some waterproofs.
Doubtless they'll have Wimpy on the back....:back:

Wrong diddly wrong, if you fire a pellet in rain it hits lots of raindrops which if you pay attention through the scope is seen as a swirl through the rain drops.
Maybe if you shot a bit more in the rain you would have noticed it over the years...
