Why do we need kneelers at 55 yards? Have all the GP courses been cleared this year?

This....^^^^

I love kneelers, why i'd more rather kneel than stand any day, never had a problem with them in practice, 55yard mini, blam it's down no problem, give me a 30yard full kill in a GP and it's a different matter...

OK just checked the GP rules . three standing lanes . two kneeling lanes . so proof . if there are more standing lanes , they are deemed harder than the kneeling lanes . take the range out on the kneeling lanes to the max . have three lanes of each . now even rob can understand that ,??? HOLLY

If you want to change the BFTA rules, you know what you have to do.

Bleating on here will change nothing.

Hols, you didn't shoot Meon and Bisley GP's, you shot open in the winter league 2 years ago, and didn't shoot last years league (if i remember correctly). Your last graded shoot was 2016.

So as far as I can tell, you've not actually shot kneeling in competition under the new roll rules as they only came into effect for this year.

If you're going to voice an opinion then it carries much more weight if it's actually based upon experience.

He did shoot one of the Bisley events recently as I videoed him missing both targets on a lane much to everyone's amusement.

Pretty sure it was one of the Central WL fixtures, I'll have a dig around.

Yep 15th May 2016 Bisley GP, he was in the AM session.

Ah my apologies... yep, PM, hit 36. They must have all been those pesky difficult sitters. He should have taken them all kneeling...

According to Rob to have an understanding of the rules you need to be able to knock over a lot of targets , and you need to turn up at all the GP shoots . well that is rob out on the first count . if he is correct on the second count then every football manager in the country should be replaced by a footballer of current standing . cos none of em still play . so cannot know what they are talking about . one of the good things about this forum is that you cannot get shouted down by those who would like you too shut up and go away . because you don't agree does not mean you are right . ??? HOLLY

PS seem to remember at the last shoot at basingstoke rob . i beat your score doing the whole course kneeling cos of the mud .

Why are there now more standers than kneeler's in GPs .  .

Because of those shooters that take kneelers standing

If there were 6 kneelers, that's an extra six standers for the likes of James Head.

So as there are only 4, its only 4 extra.

Makes it fairer

Kneeling hit rates are up with the roll, so all that's kneeded is 25mm kneelers to 30 yards

I come from a generation of FT shooters , very different from to day . not worse just different . loud voices were heard . laughter , fun was had whilst shooting . the only cheating then was power and it still is now . not kneeling , not standing , just power . when we talk of power i am talking of 850 ish . i remember buying my shutz  wow that gun can shoot and it still does but not as well as it did on the 853 it was doing . i do not see that lots of new rules are needed . good shoots and good will . anyway that is my tuppence worth . ??? Agreed on that, plus kneelers are now safer in that you don't have your foot screaming at you because it's not supported. I know the die-hards like the bean bags but ultimately the rolls are a good thing for kneelers much to the consternation of those that wanted to keep the various kneeling threads going...

I used to be able to, but the arch of my foot can't take it and I can't concentrate on the shot if the pain is screaming at me to stop....

There have been very few new rules in the 3yrs I've involved with the BFTA and most of the new rules are safety based, so let's bust the myth that there are loads of new rules because there isn't. The reality is, most people don't know what the actual rules are in the first place.

I recently published a load of pictures of illegal kneelers, most people thought they were for new rules, which kinda proves my point as they've all been around since I started.
