BASC at the Country Show at Harewood

BASC will have a presence at Countryman Fairs’ Country Show at Harewood, which will be held in the grounds of Yorkshire’s Harewood estate on 17th and 18th June.

Visitors to the BASC stand will be able to get information and advice on firearms and membership services while also having a chance to try shooting using BASC’s state-of-the-art Shooting Simulator with BASC coaches.

Duncan Thomas, BASC North director, said: “The focal point will be the main BASC show stand, offering something for everybody from information, advice, expertise and gifts.

"The BASC team will be on hand to answer your questions from firearms advice to membership benefits or how to get into shooting.

“Visitors will also get to meet the legendary countryman Sir Johnny Scott and listen to his shooting tales, filming stories or buy one of his personally signed books.

“Find out about our young shots programme from our dedicated young shot ambassadors, they can tell you about conservation projects and activities they have been involved with. Or check out our BASC Ladies shooting stand.”

Clay shooters will go head to head in the BASC National Clay Shooting Competition, which is being held as part of a Clay Shooting Festival hosted by BASC and Countryman Fairs at each of Countryman Fairs’ shows in 2017. Prizes will be up for grabs each day for the top shots and at each shoot, winners in each class will qualify for a place in the Grand Final at the Midland Game Fair in September.

BASC-accredited coaches will be giving coaching lessons throughout the two days on the coaching line, plus new for this year will be the BASC airgun coaching stand where people can try airgun shooting under the expert tuition of qualified airgun coaches.

Countryman Fairs is offering a deal on pre-booked tickets for the Country Show at Harewood. People who buy one adult ticket online or over the phone in advance of the show will get one free.
