I am not knocking anyone here just comparing . cliffy was showing me that he said canes quality was worth the money . his first cane stock is now five years old and looks superb . it has a laquer finish i believe . not a mark on it . superb ( weighs a ton ) to show the difference between makers , he compared it to the grouchers edwards stock . which is a worthy stock . does the job and cost half of canes stock . dave also got one more target than cliffy . BUT when you put em next to each other my goodnes . mr edwards stock looks very secondhand . the wood , the finish , the fit , oh dear . starting to think my cane stock to be might not be as expensive as i thought , ??? Hmmmmm you really should talk to the owners of stuff before spouting off about it.
Had you done this you would have found out that its second rate finish was down to me. Wasnt happy with the way the original finish had discoloured so I stripped it myself and im not very good at it😁
The finish you saw is 2 coats of aerosol laquer applied in a force8 gale in the garden cos i was running out of daylight and needed the stock for wl rnd1.
I told cliffy that it needs flatting back and more spray stuff.
Youre almost right tho, not as good as Mr Cane, i know I have one too.
But less than half the price, and a 6 week wait rather than god knows when.
As for fit , how do you know how it fits me when its laying on a bag?

The Rowan lifter was also fitted by my goodself with not much more than handtools so yes it couldve been neater but it works well enough.

Personaly im well happy with it and the service Ive had from Warren

Cant wait till youve had chance to screw things onto your shiny new Cane stock after about a week😂😂

Good to see you up and about yesterday tho mate

Sorry dave but i was not talking of the laquer finish . just the stock it's self . the fit i was taking about was not to you it was the fit of the action in the stock . . as i said it does a job and it was a reasonable price for the work . but my advice is never lay it down next to cliffys ??? HOLLY

PS that rifle which you stole of Colin ? deserves better , :poster_oops:

Cliffys one of the better ones, finger lines up with trigger.

Looks is one thing, usability, fit and bedding in another league again.

I wont work on either again.

As somebody who had a Kobiashi GC2 stock which was awesome I have to say that the pistol grip on my 9015 made by Jon is pure genius. Check my picture and see how my finger is perfectly inline with my trigger “same plane” my thum up grip is perfectly behind the action which is the only way. I -excrement- offset grips.

whats bedding in ?

Something 95% of stockers dont do for an easy life.

Should be able to remove action from stock and put back in without shifting zero.
