Andy our club sec has a problem . ( no not that sort of problem colin ) he was a while back a comp winner . but has struggled lately to get in the 30s in the winter league . i suggested he try another rifle as his practice sessions do not seem to indicate that this should be the case . any way he is gonna shoot my spare shutz to see if a different rifle will help . ??? And Andy suspect the nut behind the butt.

Pretty sure its fitness of the body and mind. Either that or I am so knackered with work I lose concentration.

Besides we have about 6 weeks for me to get it sorted out before the next round.

Not tired causing it . you are pretty fit for a big lad . never stopped simon . the ones you were missing were the long uns sunday . you said for wind . i only came out of kill for one target . so if you were not hitting . it means to me the rifle is taking more wind than it should . use the shuzt sunday if the weather allows . it takes an average wind . i am not trying to sell it . just letting you try a known shooting rifle , scope on board  . it is running like yours at just under 700 fps , unless it gets colder . so give it fair go on the course ??? I think its a mind set thing a lot of people get it me included. You go from picking up trophies left right and centre to watching other people. It will pass you just need to dig deep and focus.

How long has this perceived drop in form been going on? From what grade to what? Scores High to Mid ???

With out meaning to be rude to Andy, your results has been as is for a couple of three years now I think??

Does it coincide with any kit change?
Lifestyle change?

Change of job Simon. Forced upon me really driving from Portsmouth to Littlehampton 5 days a week. Leave home at 540am get home 7pm. This does not help but no jobs closer.

However get job offers for South Wales every day.

I would suggest an assessment, with a coach.

If you want to meet at the Buccs one Sunday Andy I'll give you my time FOC.

Open to most really.

If people want their shooting looked at, I'll offer my time. I don't like to see people struggling and from my own personal experience I know it's hard to be objective. You can get into a negative spiral and sometimes it's you, and sometimes it's the kit.

Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and say I want to do better. If you make the first step I'm always happy to try and guide you in a productive path. You'll still do the walking.
