Still time to enter 2017 Countryside Clay Shoot

There is still time to enter this year’s Countryside Clay Shoot – an event which once again promises to be a highlight of the spring.

The charity simulated game shoot will be held at the prestigious Six Mile Bottom shooting estate in Cambridgeshire on Saturday 13th May.

It will raise money for the Gamekeepers’ Welfare Trust (GWT) and the CLA Charitable Trust and is being organised by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) and the CLA.

Organisations, businesses and individuals are being encouraged to enter teams of four, which will compete across six stands with a mix of simulated game targets.

Entry costs £600 per team and includes hospitality. Individuals can also enter, but will need to contact the BASC Central office as soon as possible so they can be put into teams.

The winning team will receive the Hugh van Cutsem Challenge Cup, dedicated to the memory of the keen shot and countryman.

Helen Benson from the Gamekeepers Welfare Trust said: "As it’s our 25th Anniversary,  2017 is a special year. BASC was a joint founder of our organisation and so it is entirely in keeping that we are at the Countryside Clay Shoot and privileged to be supported along with the CLA Charitable Trust.  I hope teams all over the UK will support this event and join us at Six Mile Bottom."

Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, chairman of the CLA Charitable Trust, said: “The CLA Charitable Trust is extremely grateful for the support that we receive from BASC and the CLA at this event. All the funds we receive are passed on to worthy charities who help to enable access to the countryside for disadvantaged and disabled individuals in England and Wales.”

To book a place please contact BASC Central on 01283 810910 or central@basc.org.uk
