It's on here first...other forums are sooo slow...Well we had a great night's shooting..the Redhill boys were right up for it..nice to see some ex members...if it hadn't been for us Melbourne lot the Redhill boys might not have been formed..but they came over to Melbourne & gave a good show..not quite good enough on the night as we (Melbourne) were on top of our game & won quite convincingly...three guys had to shoot off for the ultimate "sharpshooter"..but young Scotty (Prewar) stood firm & rang the bell....well done that man..

A big thanks to Mac for organising the evening (with Steve) & also doing all the scoring on the computor/screen...thanks to the "adjudicators"..& cheers to everyone who competed..especially the ones with period headwear...look forwards to the rematch...burp..hic..

Mr Shinn...I owe you a drink for being the ultimate "period gent"..even using a proper airgun...cushty... :sign_respect1:

Forgot to mention...20+ shooters compeated & 40+ attended the evening...so it also gave a good indication of how many people/stalls we could accommodate when we finalise a date for our Vintage airgun fayre later in the year..John (Baron/Pennineway) has had the go ahead from the firearms dept of Derbyshire police so we are now nearer confirming a date..

This weeks meeting was all taken up with hosting the belltarget match & running our normal club shoot for shooters not interested in competition's..in tandem..there are some who just come for the banter "plinking" & to look out for any collectable bargains for sale..which we do have most weeks..cheers,Chris.

I think a big thanks should go to our very own Mad Mike too. Most of the good ideas originate  from this guy.

Really good night. I think the Fayre will be a blast and a MUST place to be. Thanks to MIKE and JOHN.

OH and mike-------LOVE THE BOWLER. :rofl2:

An excellent evening, conducted in just the right spirit IMO.

No daft boots, gimp suits or "meccano rifles" but plenty of atmosphere.

Top work to all concerned with making it happen.

Dear Mad Mike,

With all this talk of Bowler hats & Sphinkters, Dunks senior says "You sure got a pretty mouth boy" I would watch out if I were you!

I'll have well peaked by then...an athlete of my calibre can't maintain such a high level of.."peakness".. :thefinger:

The annual BBQ is the end of August & we are hoping to have a double header against the Coffin Dodger's before then..so let's go for Sept once we have all bonded again after the summer hols...please ask Steve if his team wants a start this time to even things up.. :rofl2:

PS taunting one of the "elder's" by showing an icon of someone flogging a dead horse does you no favours..you are getting that feckin manky cauliflower back sunshine..it stinks now but will be really "ripe" by thurs... :amen:
