Sadly the cause has been dealt another blow by a couple of idiots who have, in the words of the BBC News 24 report "Carried out a series of random sniper attacks" in Wolverhapton. A woman has lost the sight of an eye and another has been hospitalised with chest injuries and two men aged 20 and 27 years are being held be police. This means that the last three major airgun incidents have been carried out by a 19 year old, a 34 year old and now a 20 and 27 year old so there is no excuse for them not facing the full might of the law and being given life sentences for 'using an airgun to endanger life.....' as provide for in the statutes. Nor any need for the proposed change in the law which tends to blame all such incidents on under age shooters.
