Just about to replace my blank 'WEBLEY' medallion in my Mk3 butt with a new original 2nd pattern insert.
This is the one with just WEBLEY and nothing underneath.
At what angle should the lettering be to the butt top, bottom or whatever!?
I think it should be level with the barrel but I'm not sure.

Anyone?

I think this is the model you mean!

This is one I sold last year! I have no means of knowing if the angle is correct though! It does however look the same as the pics in Chris Thrale's book and Webley adverts!

Hope the pics help!

NICE stock, Topdog!

I had a Mk3 and my medallion writing was positioned as yours. Mine was new at the time.

Shinny.

Hi

Looks like we have the answer then! All the references I checked seemed to bear out what we say so it's likely correct!

Yes; I loved the stocks on Mk3's and used to collect them just for that; had 7 at one point back in the late 80's and sold my last one (my favourite) to a good friend so he can enjoy it for the next half-century! - see pic attached!

Sorry; meant to append this to the last post! Hope it still makes sense!
