Is there anyone out there who knows the Original 66? I've got one in pieces (see collector's for sale section) and some time, so I want to try to fix it to keep.

I'm pretty much there - I think. I need a spring compressor to get the piston in and install the gears, but trigger wise I'm not so sure how it's all meant to go together. I think I've got some sears working to the very rear of the rifle, I can "cock" them using a probe and it'll disengage when I actuate the trigger. It doesn't "cock" when I break the barrel though. I've been looking at Chambers and I don't think I'm missing anything.

Also the rear piston seems quite stiff when I try to put it in without the spring. It's definitely going in straight - should it be like this, or should I hone the outside of the piston?

Thanks in advance

I just replied to your original posting of Nov 2009 - I'm new to Airgunforum so didn't spot that thread.

Are you still thinking of offering the O66 action or have you fixed it up now?

If you are still looking to find a home for it I might be interested as I could do with a new balance piston.

Not wanting to repeat the thread, please see http://www.airgunfor...showtopic=52644

Many thanks in advance for your response.
